• The school faced high electricity charges due to not switch off electricity supply in empty classrooms and labs.

• In order to alleviate this problem, I collaborated with a team of engineers to Build a software that uses a combination of motion and human detection to automate power supply in the classroom.

• Used OpenCL library on python for the development of the software.

• We efficiently implemented HAAR CASCADE algorithm with AdaBoost training for accurate human detection.

• This implementation was cost effective as classrooms already had high resolution CCTV cameras and thus no additional hardware was required.

• The school had written attendance and the admin staff spent 4 hours every week to enter the attendance into excel and send emails to inform the guardians of the defaulters.

• To alleviate this issue, I developed software for Automating of attendance using OpenCV-Python.

• The software would count student attendance from scanned copy of the attendance sheet and export them into excel sheet.

• The software had an accuracy of 96% to map attendance to the correct student.

• Efficiently implemented an automated attendance record keeping that sends notification to guardians of the defaulters.

• Used python on the back end and Flask on the front end for admin interface.
