• Consultant for Diversified Construction LLC as a Superintendent for a project for NASA at Johnson Space Center, Houston Tx. Supervised construction of a high-pressure gas facility.
• Consultant for Derby Exploration, Aug 2017- Present. NW Extension of S.T.A.C.K. play in Blaine & Dewey Co. Oklahoma on 23,000’ extended lateral, multi well zipper pads.
• Consultant for Kratech Oil & Gas, NW Extension of S.T.A.C.K. play in Blaine & Dewey Counties of Oklahoma on 23,000’ extended lateral, multi-well zipper pads for Derby Exploration.
• Senior Consultant for JMA Energy Co., Oklahoma City Oklahoma in the Tonkawa Sand, Cleveland Sand, and Granite Wash plays. Horizontal completions in Roger Mills, Beckham, Dewey, and Custer Counties of Oklahoma on 21,000’ extended lateral, multi-well pads.
• Senior Consultant for Range Resources out of the Ft. Worth office, working development of Eagle Ford Shale play. Horizontal completions in Walker County TX to 16,750’.
• Senior Consultant for the Mid-Continent for Range Resources March 2008 to Feb 2011. Oversaw all new horizontal Woodford Shale well completions to 14,500’ and remediation projects on high pressure vertical wells to 18,500’. Supervised all aspects of completions, including multi-stage slick water fracs of up to 32 stages, wireline pump downs, stick and coil tubing conveyed perforations, hydro port technology, and composite plug and cast-iron plug drill outs. Implemented new technologies that reduced costs and increased production rates and ROI. Carried out vendor price negotiations. Expert in both high pressure and low well pressure environments. Wrote and implemented new well and remedial well procedures. Worked closely with engineering staff and field personnel in a team environment.
• Senior Completion Consultant for Range Resources in Pennsylvania Sept 2009 to June 2010 on horizontal Marcellus Shale wells, and again from Feb 2011 to April 2011 on horizontal Marcellus wells.
• Senior Consultant with Continental Resources Oct 2007 to March 2008. Comprehensive well site supervision of completions of horizontal Woodford Shale wells, including site prep, well clean out, wireline tractor, stage 1 prep, large multi-stage fracs, and wireline pump downs.
• Senior Consultant with Newfield Exploration Jan 2007 to Oct 2007. Well site supervision of completions of horizontal Woodford Shale wells, including large multi stage fracs, wire line pump down, coil tubing perforating and drill outs, and tractor conveyed wire line perforating of wells to 14,500’ in Oklahoma.
• Senior Consultant to B-C Operating June 2006 to Jan 2007. Well site supervision for drilling new wells in secondary recovery water flood project in Central Oklahoma.
• Consultant to Unit Petroleum April 2004 to June 2006. Well site supervision for drilling and completion of new wells in Western Oklahoma & North Texas to 13,500’. Supervised multiple well workovers inside Oklahoma City “city limits” in major secondary recovery project. Work included isolating selected intervals, casing cleaning, perforating, acid treatments, swab testing, and re-establishing production.
• Consultant with Layne Energy Sept 2003 to April 2004. Project manager for installation of facilities and pipelines in SE Kansas. Supervised ditching and installation of gathering lines, as well as larger poly pipe and steel transmission lines.
Barco Energy, Inc.
Owner / Field Superintendent / Geologist - 1983 to 2003
• Duties included all aspects of business management and field supervision, including but not limited to: supervisor of all in-office and field operations, acquisitions and divestitures, drilling, geologic evaluations, new well completion, and old well remediation, training of personnel, vendor negotiations, land owner relations, and supervision of contractors, sub-contractors and service personnel.
• Owned and managed the Consulting Petroleum Geologic subsidiary, which carried out: performing geologic evaluations, well site Geologic Supervision, subsurface contour mapping, electric log evaluation, correlation of geologic data, environmental compliance, equipment evaluation/purchase, and reserves analysis for ROI.
• Drilling supervision duties included: conceptualization and design of mid-continent infill drilling program, on-site drilling operations management, supervision of drilling fluids systems, drill stem test supervision, Electric Log supervision and interpretation.
• Generation and evaluation of acquisitions and divestitures, contract negotiations, investor/client relations and employee supervision.
• Preparation of A.F.E.’s for exploration and work over, and coordination of logistics.
