As a Safety Officer
Evaluates and enhance the job hazard analysis and risk assessment of every activity and ensure that is strictly observed in the working area for the safety of all.
Conducts daily toolbox meeting to all workers prior to work to discuss safety concerns of a specific work activity as scheduled.
Ensures that all equipment’s; like power tools, electrical machineries, rigging and lifting equipment’s and its accessories are thoroughly checked before use for safety purposes.
Maintain records of inspection (Checklist) of all equipment have to be submitted to the general contractor as necessary.
Prepares and submit daily activities and weekly reports to the general contractor.
Maintains a mechanical logbook of daily activities and submit to general contractor as required.
Monitors and supervised every activity in the worksite to ensure safety compliance.
Coordinates and support the site manager and the project supervisor on the safety implementation and recommend solutions regarding safety plans and program for the benefit of the company.
Coordinates with other safety officers to avoid conflict in the working area.
Prepares Permit to work of different activities.
Conducts orientation to workers on the safety requirements and procedures based on the JHA and RA of a specific activity.
Conduct orientation on newly hire worker.
