SOLIDWORKS:

• American Chopper bike:

The objective of this project is to understand and demonstrate the design process of retro style American chopper bike using CAD software SOLIDWORKS.

The assembly of bike consist of Chassis, Engine, Gas tank, FR/RR wheels, FR/RR fenders, FR fork, Oil tank, Transmission belt, Drive chain and Pedals. All parts are modeled and assembled using SOLIDWORKS Part modeling and Assembly workbench.

Photorealistic rendering, used SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

• Sunseeker Predator Yacht:

The objective of this project is to demonstrate the design of Sunseeker Predator Yacht using SOLIDWORKS surface modeling workbench.

The assembly consist of Propeller, Radar, Hull, FR/ Middle/ RR seats, Radar mast and Super structure. All parts are modeled using surface modeling workbench and assembled together. For rendering, used SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

Siemens NX CAD 11:

• FENDER Design:

In this project styling team provided class “A” surface of fender. Carried out wheel arch calculation as per European regulation and gave feedback to styling team to make necessary changes. After that using styling surface designed drip area, A pillar mounting, Bumper mounting, Sill mounting and baffle mountings.

• HOOD assembly:

The aim of this Project is to model a Hood Assembly considering all design and safety factors which satisfies industry’s standards, manufacturing & functional requirements and engineering inputs using Siemens NX 11. Carried out calculation and optimization of Hood panel for strength using Section Modulus Equation.

• ROOF assembly:

Conducted Roof Curvature Study by using Prediction Formulas Heat Distortion & Snow Load Criteria on class

“A” surface received from styling team shared the findings and gave solution to optimize the roof panel’s strength. Designed FR/RR roof rail, bow roof rail members, Ditch area using Siemens NX 11 surface modeling workbench. Carried out Draft analysis to ensure manufacturability.

• BACKDOOR assembly:

The aim of this Project is to model a Backdoor Assembly considering all design and safety factors which satisfies industry’s standards, manufacturing & functional requirements and engineering inputs using Siemens NX 11. Backdoor is a sheet metal assembly consisting inner panel, outer panel, latch and hinge. Outer panel is fixed on the inner panel by using hemming operation which is carried out using rollers rolling the outer panel over the inner panel.

Collison Avoidance System (B.E)

• Successfully built an inexpensive and portable safety device using ultrasonic sensors and a RC car as the prototype which can detect vehicles, alert the driver and automatically apply brakes (if needed) to prevent or reduce the severity of the accident.

Formula Bharat SAE India Event

• Built a Formula Racing type car for SUPRA SAEINDIA Student Formula 2016 competition. Worked in the team’s Design department which included the designing of various components like chassis, bodywork and intake manifold of the vehicle.
