Project Description:

Ondot is a third party application which connects to HSBC and aims to empowering our cardholders to control their cards through the application and perform various self service functions on the go. Few of the services which can be performed via Ondot application is given below once the card is successfully added to it.

Switch On/Off the card

Set spend limits

Set merchant restrictions.

Set geographical restrictions.

Raise a lost and stolen request.

HSBC will connect to Ondot real time and all the authorization on the card which is enrolled for Ondot will be referred to it to get the card control setup by the customer. Based on the decision given by the Ondot application, the authorization is either approved or declined. Ondot also allows sending Push notification real time in the form of SMS to customer which can be used for marketing strategy.

Customer can see all his authorization and control his monthly spend a more planned way. He can as well raise a dispute for any transaction which is not done by him.

This project aims to launch the Ondot application via a standalone application which is easily downloadable by customer and customers can then enroll their cards to setup the controls. The plan is to launch the product by Feb’19.

Project Description:

Central Bank of Bahrain had issued a circular to all the member banks to support Open Banking services entail the provision of two broad categories of services. The first is “account information service” which provides customers with access to all bank account information in an aggregated manner through a single platform, whereas the second category is “payment initiation service” which allows licensed third parties to initiate payments on behalf of customers while allowing seamless transfers between different customer accounts through a mobile based application.

Open banking enables account holders to share their account information and payment history externally with other banks and with licensed third parties. This means that account holders can link multiple accounts from different banks together and view all of their financial assets and liabilities from within a single mobile app or online banking service. It also means they will be able to link their accounts to verified, independent apps that offer a broader range of services and functionality.

Responsibilities:

As a Lead Business & Solutions Analyst responsible for:

Analyze business needs, support requirements documentation, and translate into functional, non-functional, and/or technical specifications

Project Description:

HSBC being the foreign bank in the UAE, had Central bank restriction over how many branches it can open. However there is no restriction in opening the Customer Service Units (CSU). The scope of the project is to introduce enhanced digital capabilities to CSU.

The Digital CSU initiative aims to provides features and services for the Customer to board their profile instantly via Straight Through Processing (STP) and print the tools (Cards and Cheque book) immediately in staff controlled journey.

By using tablets and touch screens to fill out the digital e forms, customer can open a new account and apply for credit card instantly. Any signature required are recorded digitally on tablets.

With all the facilities in the CSU, customer goes out with his Cheque book, cards which can be used instantly without waiting for any further activation or approvals.

Responsibilities:

As a Project SME responsible for:

Talking to Business to understand Sprints breakdown which can give maximum output in the MVP delivery.

Apple/Samsung Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple and Samsung that allows users to make payments using the Phones in an easy secure and private way.

As part of the banking support across Middle East it has spanned its business in more than 6 countries which includes countries like UAE, QATAR, BAHRAIN, OMAN, LEBANON and EGPYT. The HSBC Middle east banks support both credit and debit cards and it has around 6 million customer spanned across Middle East.

This project is a new service that allows credit, debit cardholders to make purchase with their Mobile (Apple and Samsung) leveraging the digital ‘tokenization’ into an embedded secure element with NFC facility. The project is in line with HSBC digital payments for our cardholders. This will provide customers with an array of capabilities that simplify and enhance the payment experience and increase digital engagement.

Apart from the daily batch runs, as part of the project, need to resolve the issues and concerns raised by the user on daily basis by interacting with various parties.

Responsibilities:

As an Onsite Coordinator responsible for:

First level of interaction with all Business users and various team’s BA to understand the queries and convert them into technical queries such that the team can understand and work on it.

As part of this project, the Asia specific countries which include Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Philippines and Srilanka were converted from AS400 environment to Mainframe environment. This was one of the major conversion project which was performed on Credit Cards system. There were multiple teams formed for this project which included the below team.

As part of the Core Gaps team member I was responsible for:

Identify the gaps between the legacy system and the mainframe system and bridge them so that the functionality works after conversion.

Participate in the Implementation Walk through and support the UAT and pilot.

Support the live implementation and help resolve the post implementation issues

GE MONEY in INDIA helps SBI to process its Credit Cards with the help of SATYAM Comp. as the software vendors. SBI at present has around 1.7 million credit card holders under three main Organizations: GE, TATA and SBI itself. This project deals with providing 24 x 7 production support to GE APAC (INDIA) and to ensure that the nightly batches run smooth with no abends to meet SLA norms.

The main objective of the project is to run daily production batches, ensuring smooth batch flow, resolving the abends during batch as early as possible by providing temporary resolution and later of coming up with permanent resolution. Filling all the batch and abend details in Kintana (A tool for entering every night’s batch details).Finding the root cause in case of failures and providing resolution for the occurring abends. Besides this, some series of jobs are running, need to keep checking job aborts.
