I am writing to express my keen interest in working in your organization where I am searching for a new position that provides opportunities for growth. I have a National Diploma in Hospitality Management, which I obtained at the University of Johannesburg in 2017.I recently completed a short online course in Events Management from the University of Cape Town. In previous years I was a trainee at Southern Sun, Elangeni and Maharani in Durban when I was doing my final year practical in the hotel, where I had gone to all departments in the hotel, for example, Food and Beverage department, Housekeeping, and the entire front office department, Hostess and management. On March 2016 I worked at the Miss South Africa which was held at Carnival City where I was given the opportunity of being a floor supervisor, which was to make sure that everything was running smoothly and that guests at the event were satisfied with the services they were offered. Other work experiences I took part in the was the biggest well-known event in South Africa the Nedbank Golf Challenge which was hosted at Sun City in December 2015, where I worked in the pastry kitchen (commis chef) during the event there and we were given certificates for taking part in the event. Coffee barista at Café on the Bay, Banqueting server & Food Runner at 1500 South restaurant. The responsibilities at the Café is opening/ closing, make different types of lattes, cappuccinos, being a cashier and making sandwiches when ordered; Setting up the venue, taking drink orders and serving food to the guests (that as either plated or hors d’oeuvre).
