ENGINEERING PROJECT:
PROJECT-1: FINAL YEAR ENGINEERING PROJECT
Title: Biomedical energy harvesting using helical configuration.
Team Size: 2
Skills used: MATLAB, PYTHON, ARDUINO IDE, PROTEUS
Project Description:
Independent pacemaker prototype model for explaining the working of artificial pacemaker of PVDF self rechargeable pacemaker, which can be divided into two parts. One is a pacemaker attached to the body, and the other is a part drawn in Python. Parts of the pacemaker include a vibrator, piezo polymer, Arduino UNO, a Bluetooth module, a battery, and a charging circuit.
Vibrators are used to simulate a heartbeat. Piezoelectric polymers are placed in different positions of the heart (vibrator) along the heart (functional vibrator), and the electric current is generated by the piezoelectric polymer through vibration.
This electrical impulse is amplified by a very efficient charging circuit and converted to battery charging voltage. The battery continues to charge according to this scheme, increasing the efficiency of the system.
A microcontroller connected to this system is used to collect the voltage generated by the piezoelectric film. The data which is sent from the microcontroller terminal to Bluetooth module will be seen in PC. To get the signals on PC, we are connecting a USB converter in between PC and Bluetooth. After receiving the data by PC, we are using an AIMBAT simulation tool for data plotting and visualization by using python language.
PROJECT-2: 3rd YEAR ENGINEERING MINI-PROJECT
Title: Predictive model for urine analysis system for early detection of CKD by AI.
Team Size: 3
Skills used: AI algorithm, ARDUINO IDE
Project Description:
The goal of the project is to implement an easy, cost-effective method to screen a population with asymptomatic chronic kidney disease and initiate therapy to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events and end-stage renal disease in an outreach camp setting. To achieve this we will be using Urine test strips, the color sensor (TCS3200) interfaced with a microcontroller and an Arduino board. The proposed system is able to detect the change in color in the urine strips, which is indicative of albuminuria content in urine. The sensor values are transferred to the mobile application using a Bluetooth module.
