As Director of Marketing from 1986 to 1987, Scott supervised 30 people who provided research, marketing, public affairs, and public relations services. From 1985 to 1986, Scott served as Assistant to the Publisher, handling a number of special projects including preparation of a prototype illustrating innovative advertising positions for a subcommittee of the Newspaper Advertising Bureau, development of a community forum sponsored by the newspaper and development of a minority affairs program.
