EDUCATION
Purdue University, — B.S Mechanical Engineering Technology
August 2016 - May 2021
Well rounded program with backgrounds and hand-on application experience in manufacturing practices, CAD design, and theoretical analysis of mechanical systems for entry-level process engineer and mechanical engineer positions.
WORK EXPERIENCE
IN-MaC Machinist Intern Feb 2021 - Present
Currently working in a graduate research and manufacturing facility with the Purdue Graduate Research Lab under a senior level technician.
Interpreting part drawings and running professional production speeds using carbide and High Speed Steel tooling for part order manufacturing.
Generating tool paths and CAM simulations via professional CAM softwares using both MasterCAM and BobCAD.
Purdue BIDC Undergraduate Machinist Aug 2017 - Feb 2021
Worked as an undergraduate machinist in an educational production department environment and completed over 50 undergraduate and graduate student projects via technical drawing interpretation and using HAAS CNC Mills, HAAS CNC lathes, HAAS CNC gantry router, FlowPath water-jet, and Trotec laser cutters working with auto-probe positioning technology.
Worked with Fusion 360 CAM software to tool path both true 3 axis and 5 axis programs and HAAS VPS modules for simple manufacturing operations. Also used AutoCAD for waterjet path generation.
Participated in training seminars hosted by Kennametal Sales engineers and product marketing team for CNC
Mill & CNC lathe carbide tooling.
Purdue Smart-Lab Undergraduate Research Assistant July 2019 - Dec 2019
Assisted PHD student Jun Han Bae in engineering design and process engineering for research projects in robotics and automated electromechanical systems. Robotics research project was a sediment measurement device used to gather soil samples of deep water lakes.
Preliminary prototype designs done via SolidWorks solid modeling for mechanical design and parts were manufactured using a FlowCut Water jet, Fusion 360 CAM, and HAAS CNC 3 and 5 axis mills.
