Regional Medical Center (Assistant Director of Pharmacy) 2015-present

Prepare and present pharmacy-related data to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee-including ADR, ADE, narcotic discrepancy, and other pertinent data.

Review and update all medication management and pharmacy-related policies and medication protocols for presentation and approval at the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

Nursing, provider, or pharmacist education on an as needed basis: most recently worked with nursing to improve heparin drip calculation accuracy.

Alaris IV pump, Sapphire IV anesthesia pump, IRadiMed MRI infusion pump library creation, implementation, monitoring, and updating.

Daily, weekly, monthly narcotic and override monitoring and reporting to include coordination of annual narcotic inventory.

Participated in interdisciplinary patient rounding in the ICU and CCU areas of the hospital with a focus on ensuring all medications were appropriately dosed based on the patient’s renal function, recommendation of medication additions or deletions based on the patient’s daily clinical status.

Preparation of monographs for any medication presented for addition to or removal from formulary at the Pharmacy and Therapeutics monthly meeting.

Education of pharmacy staff, providers, and nursing staff regarding any medication-related changes at the facility.

Order verification with a focus on appropriate dosing, therapeutic drug level monitoring, and accuracy of order entry.
