Worked as part of a team with physicians, other nurses and healthcare professionals to provide care, monitor health conditions,
I used the triage system and assessed patients’ needs by taking history from them.
Navigating patients to appropriate specialties due to their needs.
Planned long term care needs, administer medicine, use medical equipment, perform minor medical operations and advise patients and their families on illness, care and continues care after a hospital stay.
I also collected samples for lab analysis, gathering patient information, monitoring ECGS and vital signs.
I was responsible for providing basic emergency treatment for respiratory, trauma and cardiac emergencies as well as obstructed airways.

Volunteering work Ethiopia, Oromia region July 2018
In the summer of 2018, I travelled to Ethiopia in which I had an opportunity to work alongside two organizations called MWO and Dr.Tedros for a week. During the week, I undergone numerous activities such as providing help to approximately 17,000 vulnerable households in Ethiopia’s, Oromia region.
We focused on three key areas, livelihoods in which we supported older people who have struggled to bring in an income since the drought took hold, we were able provide households with goats, sheep and farming tools and seeds, as well as training to help them use these assets.
We also focused on the health of individuals. I was able use my skills as a A&E nurse to provide basic nursing such as checking individuals’ vital signs, as well as giving malnourished older men and women food rations to boost their nutrition and health. I also helped to promote purification and hygiene to vulnerable households in Ethiopia’s, Oromia Region
