Responsibilities:-

Responsible for leading teams on a project basis. Responsibilities include meeting with customer engineering teams to define requirements and manage the entire product development process from concept through production. The internal project team consists of CADdraftsmen, lab technicians and production technicians. In addition, significant interaction with manufacturing and quality departments is required.Design and optimization of mechanical componets.

Experience in the design and application of contacting face seals, contacting and non-contacting circumferential seals and floating bushing labyrinth seals.

Create seal proposals from customer operating parameters. Also,provide customer guidance to increase probability of application success.

Extensive written and verbal communication with customers, vendors and internal departments during design process.

Design seals,and coordinate design reviews to assure part manufacturability to specified dimensions and tolerances. Assess any potential assembly an/or inspection problems and resolve them.

Use 3-D Solid Modeling and 2-D CAD software to generate customer, manufacturing,and vendor prints.

Assist in set-up of test plans to validate new design concepts through in-house and outsource testing.

Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards.

Read and interpret blueprints, techanical drawings, schematics, and computer- generated reports.

Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evalute the feasibility, cost and maintaince requirement of designs or applications.

Preparation/checking of GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and componets drawings in co-ordination with draughtsmans.

Checking of all designs inputs such as process parameters, stuffing box type, reactor/agitator types (side entry/top entry) before making GA drawings for approvals.

Review of process parametrs i.e working temperature, working pressure, API plans and seal type given.

Upgrading and development of mechanical seal as per the customers needs.

Issuing work orders for manifacturing communication with work shop people to solve problem in manufacturing.

Reading and understanding designs of Machineries with reference to Indian Standards.

Design Calculation, Analysis, Drawing Checking and Drawing Approval.

Evaluation of Drawings and the Bill of Material, Assessment of in house stock in co-ordination with stores, placement of material requisition accordingly, Allocation of work of Machining, Fabrication, Painting etc.

After assembly of the machine, will carry out inspection. If the machine is passed by him, than only primer / paints works may be carried out.

Prepare Project status reports of various erection sites.

Prepare Monthly, Daily, weekly MIS reports about erection sites and report to higher management at regular intervals.

visit the site and check if the site is ready for commencement of work.

Ensure safety during installation.

Give material requisition request to the purchase department.

Handle client queries pertaining to drawings approval, bills, payments, follow-up etc.

Handover systems and get the job completion certificates.
