Store Manager

●Managed day-to-day operations of a small lumberyard with average revenue of $500,000 annually.

●Served as full-charge bookkeeper for this location. Those duties included: a) Completing Daily Cash Balance report each morning as an integrated part of the 3-4 day location bookkeeping report; b) Tracking all expenses, remittance, inventory adjustments, invoices, and other financial considerations on multi-day report to submit to General Office; c) Responsible for maintaining the location checkbook, writing and signing checks for various expenses such as utilities, vehicle repairs, fuel, material orders, and customer refunds. d) Monitored Accounts Receivable aging report and called customers past-due on their bills to collect balance owed.

●Responsible for all special orders, including lumber, trusses, metal, engineered material, doors, windows, bracing, and other special order items. Also placed all material orders to maintain stock levels for lumber, lumber sheet goods, concrete blocks, ready mix concrete, trim and moulding, and other home repair & building materials.

●Ensured that all deliveries were pulled accurately through consistent use of load-check, and that deliveries were made in a timely manner.

●Confirmed that all vehicles and equipment were in compliance with DOT regulations, and that they were in good mechanical condition.

●Worked closely with contractors to order job specific materials. Read blueprints, layouts, and drawings to create a framing lumber take-off material list.

●Conducted periodic cycle counts both in the store and the yard for inventory control and participated in semi-annual inventory.

●Worked inside sales counter using a computer based POS system while assisting both homeowners and contractors with their purchases.

Pretrial Officer

●Interviewed defendants being held on criminal charges pending bond hearing in order to gather basic demographic information to be used in a Risk Assessment.

●Conducted an extensive criminal history background for each defendant and created a spreadsheet detailing past convictions and sentences. This, in conjunction with the Risk Assessment, was submitted to the presiding District Judge, the Asst. DA, and the defense attorney, with a recommendation concerning release without bond or detains pending bond hearing.

●Supervised Conditions of Release for those defendants released to Pretrial supervision. Those conditions often included random substance abuse testing, home visits, substance abuse treatment, and electronic monitoring – both house arrest and GPS.

●Filed Violation Reports when defendant failed to abide by conditions, and made a recommendation to either maintain existing conditions and supervision, revise conditions of release, or revoke release and issue a bench warrant for the defendant’s arrest.
