● Sized and designed backflush systems for multiple heat exchangers to improve performance and allow change from two to a four-year turnaround cycle
● Troubleshooted heat train and absorber in nitric acid unit after a plant trip caused by abnormal NOx emissions. Downtime was minimized and normal operation restored in hours
● Investigated, created, and vetted corrective action plans for Tier 3 safety system activation incidents in accordance with API RP 574.
● Performed HAZOP studies on process units, coming up with dozens of action plans to improve safety standard in the chemical facility, in the quest for incident-free workplace Nutrien Inc.
