KEY SKILLS

Recruitment and Selection: Hands-on experience in full-cycle of recruitment. In my last assignment as a Human Resources Manager with Aten Food Company, India, fulfilled the manpower requirement of the organization using best practices and with minimal recruitment cost. As a part of Human Resources Management course, the project was done on recruitment process – designed an interview guide which includes job specification, behavioural and experience questions, scoring sheet and then conducted an interview session.

Orientation and Onboarding: Handled full process of orientation and onboarding which includes pre-issuance of appointment letter, New Hire documentation, induction training to make New Hire aware of Company & HR policies, coordination with legal department for signing Non-Disclosure Agreement, coordination with required departments for work-related training, assigning buddy/Mentor to assist New Hire.

Payroll: Have a good exposure on Payroll. In my previous assignments, I had taken care of payroll from the root level. During my Co-op with SCI Logistics Canada, I was responsible for preparing payroll for agency staff. I have good knowledge of Canadian employment laws (ESA).

Human Resources Information System (HRIS): I have 8 years of experience working on various HRIS software. During my Co-op, I had worked on SAP & KRONOS for employee data updating and payroll. In addition, I have experience on ERP, Web-based solutions and learned Peoplesoft. I can easily learn and work on any new software.

Formulation and Implementation of Human Resources Policies: In my last assignment as a Human Resources Manager with Aten Food Company, established Human Resources Department and as a part of it, formulated and implemented all Human Resources policies and processes in compliance with Government laws. Because of this, established effective Human Resources System in an organization.

Employee Engagement Activities: Planned & organized “Spirit Week” during my Co-op at SCI Logistics. In my previous assignments, I had planned & organized various employee engagement activities on a monthly basis i.e. organizing Cricket match for employees on Annual day, team activities to build a healthy team etc. Guided and supported managers in various employee related matters.

Health & Safety: As a part of Human Resources Management course, prepared and presented as a group a presentation on vibration health hazard at the workplace. Provided insight into a health hazard, how this health hazard affects workers, what are the precautions that should be taken and what will be the implications of not taking precautionary measures. Attended online WHMIS training while working as HR Co-op with SCI Logistics to learn requirement, roles & responsibilities in Health & Safety regulations. Conducted Health & Safety inspection at Workplace and prepared an inspection report based on the findings.

Training & Development: As a part of Human Resources Management course, prepared training manual as a group and gave training to class on topic “Orientation”. I had received 8 out of 10 on the training presentation.
