Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology August 2012- May 2017 Experimental Hydrobiology- Instituto Politecnico Nacional July 2016- April 2018 Senior thesis:
Determination of the toxic effect of a commercial glyphosate formulation (Faena®) on the microalgae Ankistrodesmus falcatus
The glyphosate is the active principle of commercial herbicides around the world. The aim of this study was determined the effect of subinhibitory Faena® concentrations on the microalgae A. falcatus. I observed an increase of the growth cell showed called hormesis.
• Cultivated of the microalgae A. falcatus
• Determined of inhibitory concentration (IC50) of A. falcatus
• Extracted and quantify of fats, proteins and carbohydrates of A. falcatus
