DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

HSSE – (Health, Safety, Security and Environment):

Implementing project HSE procedures and policies in lieu of company’s own HSE standards.

Monitors work environment to identify areas of non-compliance and at-risk behavior of employees.

Routine site HSE inspection, HAZID associated with work and initiate recommendations to require corrective actions.

Checking PPE compliance on site.

Ensure compliance of site safety induction program and other specific training modules for all employees based on Project HSE Plan.

Evaluate the effectiveness of safety in subcontractors’ daily construction activities based Work Permits and attached supporting documents.

Initiate safety recommendations to the Project Execution Team to improve site safety, health and environmental program.

Conduct periodic meeting with subcontractors management and HSE Staff to discuss matters related to training, information sharing and maintain minutes of such meetings.

Daily HAZID inspections to identify deviations and initiate appropriate measures to control and overcome.

Ensure a positive attitude to all personnel to ensure the safety hazards, cultures are complied with continual improvements.

Verification of Job Safety Analysis, Method Statements prepared by subcontractors and incorporates the necessary comments before final approval.

Participate in all internal HSE Meetings, Management HSE Walkthrough and Safety Toolbox Meeting/STARRT as of requirement and renders proper reports to management.

Coordinate or assist with subcontractor’s safety programs to meet the specific safety requirements.

Ensure Client Safety Rules and Regulation are strictly implementing in our work sites.

Evaluate the effectiveness of Contractor’s HSE Staff in their assigned work areas and renders adequate instructions pertaining to safety.

Reporting of any accidents, accidents, first-aid cases, unsafe act/condition in sites and participate in the investigation or corrective action.

Educating and instructing project personnel to ensure that they fully understand and adhere to the project safety procedures and policies.

Makes thorough investigations of reported incidents or accidents submitted and make recommendations in preventing recurrence of such accidents or incidents.

Authorizing gas tester as related to implementation of project permit-to-work system.

Participating in site safety inspection, HSE/IIF-Incident Injury Free patrols participating in the weekly management walkabout, completing inspection reports, and coordinating necessary following-up actions.

Checking all equipment and tool certifications, including Subcontractors "Planned Maintenance Inspection Program" and site color coding requirements.

Inspecting/verify crane operators "competence certificates" and other vehicle/plant drivers’ licenses.

Check Statutory requirements on Cranes, Scaffolds, Hoists and Lifting Tackle, etc.

Investigating and following-up on accidents, incidents and near-miss occurrences and writing reports and issuing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

Overseeing site “housekeeping” and the general good appearance of the site including welfare facilities.
