As an inbound worker at Amazon, my purpose is to put items away inside the warehouse itself, so that pickers can come and pick the items out that are part of customer orders. I've been in and out of this temp job for 3 years and can’t get a position due to favoritism in the workplace, so I chose to go elsewhere to be appreciated for the hard work I do. PRIVATE CONTRACT WORK - West Columbia, SC

October 2009 to Present

As a Soccer official I’ve been working with children, young adolescents to even adults over a span of ten years to help provide safety and proper ruling on the field of play. This was my first profession. The role I play on the field is a crucial one, for I dictate and manage everything that happens during the game. I must know the exact ruling for calls and play restarts as needed as well as know how to address certain issues, or even players directly if necessary. A major accomplishment is the job all in itself, due to the fact that nobody wants to be an official in the first place. It takes courage and mental acuity to be able to hold stable ground in this position. This job had also exposed me to certain people of different backgrounds, allowing me to understand people a little easier and giving me opportunities to be vocal to parents, players and coaches about issues or concerns especially during work.

In my position, being called “one of the best” is a great achievement and possibly the best verbal reward one can ever receive.
