Description :

Soil stabilization is a good method for improving the physical properties of soil i.e increasing strength properties such as shear strength; bearing capacity etc. This process includes adding in admixtures in the soil to increase the properties of the soil.

In order to introduce new material which can reduce the cost of a review is made on Rubber Crumb powder .Crumb rubber is a term usually applied to recycled rubber from automotive and truck scrap tires. After getting the rubber powder from industry,which has high ductile tensile can be used as chemical stabilizer for soil stabilization. The rubber powder is mixed in various proportions with soil like 5%, 10%,15% &20%. The main engineering properties of soil are permeability, plasticity, compaction, compressibility and shear strength, Various tests were also conducted on these mixers in order to find optimum proportion.

Mini project

Title : Partial replacement of cement by agricultural bi product rice husk ash powder

Description : The aim of the experiment investigation is to replace cement with Rice Husk Ash Powder Concrete is a composite material made from cement water fine aggregate and coarse aggregate.

In this test the replacement of cement in concrete with rice husk ash bi product obtained from agricultural fields. In this test the replacement of cement in concrete with rice husk ash are 0%,10%,20%, 30%, 40% and M30 grade concrete cubes of size 150mm*150mm*150mm were cast for finding its compressive strength. The analysis of experimental investigation data shows that addition of 15% rice husk ash powder with cement gives the compressive strength of 35.5N/mm2 when compared to conventional.
