OBJECTIVE
To apply my knowledge of Power System studies, and leadership skills in an Industrial Power Environment with various operating systems and to utilize my engineering analysis skills.
Experience:
Viega LLC.
Electrical Engineer, March 2021- Present
MKEC Inc.
Electrical engineer II Aug 2014 – March 2020
Design One-Line diagrams and perform load and fault calculations on equipment ranging from 240V to 69KV power distribution including MV motor control centers.
I Perform power system studies which include: short circuit studies, load flow analysis, arc flash analysis, protective device coordination (TCC's), and motor starting analysis using SKM, Paladin DesignBase, Aspen, EasyPower and ETAP software.
Utilize engineering analysis programs and professional judgement to analyze loads, lighting levels, short circuit currents.
Create AutoCAD, Navisworks, Solidedge & Raster drawings for One-Line diagrams, Power Distribution Drawings, Area Classification Drawings, Grounding Plans, Lighting Plans, and Detail Drawings.
Design/build style projects, specializing in industrial and petroleum facilities.
Develop specifications for equipment procurement for contractors and clients.
VFD and Soft-start programming.
Generate project specifications appropriate for the projects.
Develop complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems.
Prepare designs, check and specify power, lighting and auxiliary systems.
Prepare power systems single line diagrams, to include feeder and over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.
Conduct arc Flash Mitigation studies.
Working knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning.
Perform calculations required to determine distribution capacity due to voltage drop, voltage droop or underground heat effect (Neher- McGrath).
Visit Jobs sites of remodeled projects to field survey existing electrical conditions.
I have worked with my fellow engineers in the selection, installation, maintenance, operation, and upgrade of production equipment such as automation systems, MCCs and high voltage power distribution (Transformers).
Experience in Factory Talk system.
Participated in Various FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Bluebeam Proficiency, for markups/Redlines.
TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Holder.
Proposal Works and Integrated Architecture Builder – Rockwell Automation software (Centerline Builder).
QA/QC during Turnarounds i.e. Inspect Flange conditions, Inspect gasket conditions.
Integra Technologies January 2009 – August 2014
Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.).
Experience with PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, MCCs, Motors).
