2018- 2020 River City Healthcare Center Decatur, AL Executive Director
Oversight of operations of multi-faceted 183 bed skilled nursing and rehab facility consisting of: 40 bed short term rehab/ medical unit; & 49 bed Dementia/ Behavioral Unit. Manage all functional departments to include: marketing/ admissions, case management, H/R, business office, therapy dept., plant ops, dietary.
Developed marketing initiative with local providers to promote facility’s high performing rehab department, which increased skilled census by approx. 25%. Department produced consistently high customer satisfaction scores with discharged patients/ residents. As a result, facility had fast paced high volume of short-term rehab patients (ALOS 20 days or less).
Assessment and initiation of specialty programs to enhance revenue streams including pulmonary and cardiology services. As a result, improved skilled census by approximately 15 percent.
Recruitment of physician specialties and nurse practitioners to enhance service lines and quality of care.

2015- 2017 North Alabama Specialty Hospital Athens, AL
Chief Executive Officer
Started 40 bed Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) from its inception. This included hiring all staff, implementing all policies and procedures, obtaining CMS licensure, Joint Commission accreditation, and LTACH certification.
Worked in close collaboration with parent hospital system-Huntsville Hospital Administration at Main Campus (CEO, CFO, department leaders) and Athens Hospital Admin (CEO, CFO, CCO) to facilitate operations and growth of LTAC Hospital that is affiliated with the Huntsville Hospital system.
Recruited entire Medical Staff, including the Medical Director, 9 attending physicians, and specialty physicians to include pulmonology, cardiology, urology, nephrology, neurology, etc.
Led extensive marketing effort to educate and increase utilization of LTACH as new concept to providers in North Alabama. In first full year of operations, met budgeted census of 16-17 all but 1 month. Also hit maximum private room capacity numerous times during this time period.

Assist CEO in the administration and coordination of overall operation of a 180 bed LTACH to include financial and capital planning, budget management, marketing, and public & physician relations/recruitment.
Provide overall direction to Outpatient Services to include Imaging, Wound Care Clinic, Surgery, and Radiation Therapy. Direct Inpatient responsibilities include Laboratory, Plant Operations, Security, Dietary, Pharmacy, Rehab, and managing a 47 bed Sub Acute Unit.
Recruited and worked with Physiatrist to improve hospital rehab program. Collaborated with Physiatrist and rehab department to improve patient outcomes and utilization in regards to rehabilitative care.
Worked with CEO to grow admissions and personally organized an Admissions PIT to facilitate the necessary infrastructure to support a significant ramp up in admissions.
Implemented various strategies in conjunction with Case Management to positively impact LOS/ No Pay Days on LTAC.

Facility was well respected in area community in regards to patient outcomes from its rehabilitative program including occupational, physical, speech, and outpatient therapies.
Started outpatient therapy program and collaborated with therapists and business office to set up billing system, acquire additional equipment, and modify facility infrastructure.
