NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF PRODUCTIVITY

IMPROVEMENT IN SOLAR STILL BY USING PHASE

CHANGING MATERIAL (PCM)

The main objective of this project is the productivity improvement of the solar still by using the phase changing material numerically. The numerical investigation was done in the solar still setup with and without using Phase changing materials. Numerical investigation of the solar still is carried out by ansys-fluent software. The process was conducted from morning to evening and the readings are calculated with hour based productivity and cumulative productivity with and without PCM material. PCM material Trimethylolethane and Paraffin C18 material is used for this process. The results of Paraffin C18 material produce the more productivity from this investigation.
