Secure Transport of IoT data from edge gateway to host April 2020

Created an end to end secure mechanism to transport medical data, from IoT device(nRF52832 Development Kit) to host. Implemented lightweight cryptographic algorithm called GRAIN on Cortex-M4 based board, Raspberry Pi and Personal Computer. To ensure resuablity and modularity,custom APIs such as Message Abstraction Layer, Transport Layer, Cryptographic Layer and Logging Utilty were created. The performance of standard AES algorithm was compared against new lightweight cryptographic algorithm, GRAIN, on the IoT device, edge gateway and host.

Automatic Corridor Lighting System February 2019

With the help of Passive Infrared Sensor(PIR), tried to identify the presence of people in corridor. Interfaced the PIR sensor, LED bulb, Memory Card Reader, Real Time Clock module to Arduino. Based on the readings from the sensor, Arduino periodically writes the status of LED bulb and ON time, to the memory card. Also, tried to use ESP32 module in place of Arduino, to transmit the data over WiFi. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Knowledge Lens – Intern December 2017 – March 2018

Worked on creation of “Device Diagnostics” feature, to remotely monitor the performance of IoT devices(Raspberry Pi). Parameters such as Internet Speed, Available RAM, Memory Card Status, CPU Temperature were communicated frm the IoT devices to the host, using MQTT protocol. Created and worked with cofig. files, to support reusability. Was responsible for creating the format for the IoT data received, as per the requiements of UI team.
