EXPERIENCES

Graduate Research Assistant (Jan 2018- Current)

The University of Texas at Arlington, Department of Civil Engineering, Arlington, TX

(Projects funded by Texas Department of Transportation)

Conducted load testing, load rating and Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) of SH-75 South Bound (SB) Bridge (Prestressed Concrete Girder Bridge) over Wilson Creek McKinney, Texas with vibration issues. NDE results revealed 30% delamination on the top of the deck while the load test results indicated 10.5% composite action between the girders and the deck/panel system. Also evaluated impact-damaged I-30 Bridge (Steel Girder Bridge) carrying St. Francis Ave., Dallas and I-20 East Bound (EB) and West Bound (WB) Bridges (Prestressed Concrete Girder Bridges) over Las Lomas ParkWay.

Designed prestressed concrete and steel beams, regular reinforced and deep beams, short and slender columns (spColumn), one way and two way slab using direct design method, post tension slab (ADAPT-PT/RC), shear wall and retaining wall (spWall) following ACI-318, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC and PCI. Designed a five story building in a highly seismic zone following ACI-318.

Produced AutoCAD drawings of building and bridge components for TxDOT reports for the past 3 years. Graduate Teaching Assistant (August 2018- Current) The University of Texas at Arlington, Department of Civil Engineering, Arlington, TX

Conducted help sessions for the students, graded the term projects, arranged software training sessions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant of Advanced Concrete Design I (Summer '18, Fall '19, Fall’20); Reinforced Concrete Design (Summer '18); Statics (Fall '18); Structural Masonry Design (Fall '19).

Taught the structural analysis and design of a five-story reinforced concrete building using RISA-3D to graduate students including the load combination, wind load, snow load and seismic load according to IBC and ASCE-7 specifications.
