Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise daily activities and submit progress report to HVAC Supervisor / Construction Manager.

Ensure that AFC/IFC drawings are being followed during the construction works.

Review and interpret drawings and give instructions to workers.

Supervised in carrying out the works on site and ensure that the installation is carried out properly and within the time schedule.

Make duct modifications to suit site condition.

Make certain duct construction and installation are based on SMACNA and ASHRAE Standard.

Supervise the construction and installation of ducting and in line equipment as shown on approved drawing and in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Supervise the installation of Air Handling Unit (AHU), Chillers, Inertial Air Filters, Chemical Air Filters, Humidifiers, Duct Heaters and fire dampers.

Estimate material requirements and make requisition and control the use of consumables.

Coordinate with other discipline for interface and resolve clashes that occur during construction.

Perform other task given by the HVAC Engineer / Construction Manager.

Knowledge about PI & GI ducting fabrication and installation.

Have experience in final stage of works like grilles and diffuser installation, Split unit installation.

Functions and Responsibilities

Supervising the site activities with approved design drawings of HVAC Ducting.

Co-ordination with other disciplines, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers and Architects.

Plans, assigns, schedules and supervises the work of charge hand, duct erector and helpers engaged in the installation, maintenance and fabrications and appliances participates in the more difficult work.

Train and instructs subordinates and detailed procedures.

Conduct periodic inspection and given on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments, assures availability of equipment, materials and supplies.

Help train new workers in equipment and tool use.

Maintain time records and coordinate schedules with order trades.

Enforces safety regulations, rules and working coordination, recruits and train personnel in the safe operation of equipment and tools.
