Numerical simulation engineer with affinity for FEM and data analysis WORK EXPERIENCE:
Metrology Functional Design Engineer, ASML, Eindhoven (May, 2019 - present)
• Designed the calibration models (CPDs) comprising of mathematical models for the lithographic machine (wafer manufacturing) at customer and coded them in MATLAB
• Performed key performance indicators analysis to check for the accuracy of the calibrations
• Created documentations for the CPDs followed by extensive reviews with all relevant stakeholders
• Independently investigated anomalous behaviour during machine calibrations and determined the root cause by data analysis. Implemented the fix in calibration model
• Developed and added business critical functionalities (related to machine diagnostics analysis)
• Mentored new hires and employees outsourced by ASML. Provided functional support PhD, TU/e, Eindhoven & Océ – A Canon Company, Netherlands (Dec, 2014 – Dec, 2018): - ‘Multiscale modelling of the hygro-mechanical behavior of sheets of paper’ (Computational Solid mechanics). The main objective was to understand dimensional changes in paper exposed to variations in moisture i.e. printing operations and packaging products by FEM simulations. Worked on four topics
• Level set-XFEM: Made an implicit description of fibres topology by Level-set (due to complex nature of networks) and captured the discontinuities by eXtended FEM (MATLAB codes to perform meshing, compute level-set functions, triangulation and integration schemes)
• Rate independent plasticity: The paper sheets dried under tension in manufacturing exhibit irreversible strains upon exposure to a moisture cycle. Adopted a rate independent plasticity model to capture it
• Non-linear rate dependent plasticity: Numerically validated the experimental response of paper under humidity changes and external loading by a non-linear Newton Raphson visco-plastic model (within FEM framework) and obtained good agreement
• Contact Mechanics: Developed a novel inter-fibre FEM bond model (implemented in MATLAB) with varying kinematic constraints between fibres & analyzed its effects on the macro-level response Master’s project, University of Stuttgart, Germany (Jan - Jul, 2014): ‘Implementation of advanced algebraic turbulence models on a staggered grid’ (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
• Devised a strategy and executed Algebraic turbulence models within Finite Volume framework (for Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes) in C++ language that were fast and robust Internship, CIMNE Barcelona, Spain (June, 2013)
• Studied the efficiency of the double cooling system He and Li/Pl, respectively, used for blanket of fusion reactor by performing numerical flow simulations with GiD software Summer Researcher, IIT Kharagpur, India (May - June, 2009):
• Developed correction factors by data analysis (multi-regression models) for surface deflections to gain similarity with those obtained by Elastic layer theory TECHNICAL SKILLS:
