Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Payables
Timely processing of staff advances for travel and activities
Tmely processing of activities participants’ mobile payments
Processing of supplier invoices within agreed timelines
2.Accounts Receivable
Collection and review of Field Expense Reports, ensuring the validity and accuracy of all submitted expenses
Accurate posting of the advances liquidating expenses to QuickBooks.
3.Cash/Bank Management
Conducts surprise cash counts
Ensure proper filling of Journal vouchers and Bank vouchers
Cash withdrawals from the bank and tracking of multi installments cash payments
Ensure timely banking of any unspent amounts refunded by staff as well as any cheques written in favor of the organization for various transactions.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
4.Statutory Requirements
Ensure all statutory remittances are paid on time, and that accurate amounts are paid
Maintain and update statutory remittances file, conducting period audits of the files to ensure ability to satisfy any statutory scrutiny.

1.Accounting:
Verify all supporting documents for authenticity before entering them in the organization’s accounting software.
Verify accounts by reconciling statements, transactions and supporting documents
Prepare check and cash payment vouchers and allocate expenses to proper accounting codes for all financial transactions in line with budgets and project documentation
Posting of Journals as directed by the Finance Manager
File and archive all accounting and supporting documents appropriately
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
2.Reporting and Compliance:
Visiting Field Locations to provide support and ensure compliance on grant spending
Prepare programs budget pipelines and management reports for review by the Finance Manager before submission to Program Managers and Operations & Finance Manager
Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
Ensure that all accounting requests from HQ for finance supporting documentation are sent in a timely manner to the International Accountants
Budget and Forecasting:
Work with Program Managers and Finance Manager to create cash forecasts for the project to ensure needed cash is received from HO.
Prepare Monthly Budget vs. Actual (BVA) Reports on the project for review by the Country Finance Manager, Program Managers, and Finance Manager.
3.Operations Manager.
Work with Program Managers and Procurement Department to ensure that procurement’s are made in a timely manner, adhering to WR Policy and USAID regulations, communicating with the Finance and Operations Manager if additional approvals for HO.

Training self help groups on financial management and record keeping
Support the preparation of monitoring plans for the savings groups and ensure they get involved in own monitoring and evaluation of their activities.
Support capacity building and training the members of various self help groups on table banking.
Participate in field level coordination meeting with local government authorities and other agencies. ·
Conduct member assessments and document benefits from these and write success stories
Making monthly visits to groups to carry out table banking and follow up on loan repayments
Facilitate training of group members on life skills such as household financial affairs, risk management and planning e.t.c
