APTIV – Vehicle wiring harness manufacturing unit – JAN 10 2020 – JAN 10 2021. Inducted as Graduate engineer trainee wherein I’m functioning with in process quality control team. My prime role is to ensure Process, product, system & 5’s is maintained in the shop floor. OBJECTIVE: To always ensure defective product doesn’t make it to the assembly line.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

Ensure complete capacity utilization to achieve productivity & better yield throughout by managing 4 M’s – Men, Material, Method and Machine.

Carried out time study on various process/operations frequently to reset standards.

Update production plan to all departments in the shop floor.

Scheduled operations to be carried out in various machines in line with production plan.

Scheduled machine maintenance activities periodically to avoid breakdown.

Arrange all required process materials to ensure complete production output.

Consistently checked the inventory levels & also ensured material FIFO is strictly being followed in line with material ageing guidelines.

Ensured zero inventory at shop floor before plant shut & evenly pickup inventory levels of all required process materials on plant start-up.

Ensured zero delay in inter plant material movement.

The main objective of the project was to eliminate buckling effect by usage of stripper plate & to reduce production lead time. Have handled the entire project individually.
