Order Selector

A selector works individually selecting full case grocery/perishable/frozen items from a warehouse pick slot. The selector fits these items onto a pallet, plastic wraps the bundles, and in some cases loads them onto a trailer. Audio headsets are used and the selector hears the item in the order to pick from the slot. Temperatures in the Grocery warehouse can range from 50 to 80 Fahrenheit, in the Perishable warehouse temperatures can range from 28 to 60 Fahrenheit.

Essential duties include the following;

• Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production and safety standards

• Read an order sheet or use headset to find individual items within warehouse

• Remove full case(s) of product from storage rack and place on to a pallet

• Affix selection labels to the appropriate cases

• Maneuver pallet on the electric pallet jack until full or order is complete
