Managed all aspects of US multi-state payroll processing for exempt and nonexempt employees of four nationwide offices (>1,000 employees for weekly temporary population and 180 semi-monthly staff), as well as manual checks, employee changes, terminations, etc. manual checks, employee changes, terminations, etc.

JANUARY 2008 - JULY 2019, LOS ANGELES CA

Managed and administered multi-state biweekly and semi-monthly payroll for a real-estate development company with five separate entities. Oversaw benefits, retirement, 401k, workers’ comp, garnishment, reimbursements, and all records and all monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting.

Pioneered the position (a new role with no higher management) and implemented an entirely new system; modernized payroll, created new processes and protocols, and improved payroll and AP efficiencies by >50%.

Also executed system conversion from PC Payroll to Workforce Now; reviewed company’s medical benefits and worked with brokers to reduce costs by 30% while increasing coverage; researched and onboarded new 401k and payroll providers that improved employees’ user experience and access.
