CATHODIC PROTECTION SPECIALIST RA CORRTEC-MIDLAND, TX JUNE 2015-CURRENT

·Remove and install Anodes on vertical and horizontal heater treaters. Replace gaskets, clamps and wires as needed. Ensure that work zone is safe of all hazards and H2S free. Work with vacuum truck driver to remove and put back fluid into heater. I also help pumper shut-in wells and headers as needed. Bypass heater and send production through free water knockout in order to change Anodes. Swaps Production at header from one heater to another. I check pressure gauges to make sure there is no pressure on vessel before operations to maintain a safe environment. If there is anything questionable in reference to Safety I inform Employer or Supervisor of any potential hazards.

RIG MANAGER SAVANNA ENERGY-MIDLAND, TX OCTOBER 2010-OCTOBER 2014

·Train crews, and introduce procedures to make drill work more safe and effective. Observed pressure gauges, moved throttle/levers in order to control the speed of rotary tables, and to regulate pressure of tools at bottom of boreholes. Count sections of drill rod in order to determine depths of boreholes. Push levers and brake pedals in order to control gasoline, diesel, electric, or steam draw works that lower and raise drill pipes and casings in and out of wells. Connect sections of drill pipe, using hand tools and powered wrenches and tongs. Maintain records of footage drilled, location and nature of strata penetrated, materials and tools used, services rendered, and time required to complete the job. Maintain and adjust machinery in order to ensure proper performance. Start and examine operations of Slush Pumps in order to ensure circulation and consistency of drilling fluid or mud in well. Locate and recover lost or broken bits, casings, and drill pipes from wells, using special tools. Direct/Instruct rig crews in Drilling and other activities, such as setting up rigs and completing or servicing wells. Monitor progress of Drilling Operations, and select and change drill bits according to the nature of strata, using hand tools. Repair or replace defective parts of machinery, such as rotary drill rigs, water trucks, air compressors, and pumps using hand tools. Bolt together pump and engine parts and connect tanks and flow lines. Remove core samples during drilling in order to determine the nature of the strata being drilled. Line drilled holes with pipes and install all necessary hardware in order.

. Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete. Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used. Measured velocity, horsepower, and revolutions per minute (RPM), amperage, circuitry, and voltage of units or parts to diagnose problems, using ammeters, voltmeters, watt meters, and other testing devices. Reassemble repaired electric motors to specified requirements and ratings using hand tools and electrical meters.
