Patient Screening and Scan Preparation

Screen the patients for contraindication to MRI, and assist patient in completing the pre-MRI screening questionnaire.

Verify that the patient has a basic understanding of the procedure, and answers questions.

Position patients for study using correct anatomical reference points

Communicate with principal investigator as needed to confirm selection of correct MRI protocol and any adjustment to the scanning parameters.

Monitor patients during scanning, and never leave patient unattended during scanning

Insure that adequate images have been obtained, and when necessary, review images with principal investigator before dismissing the patient.

Trained in using software tools and options that exist on the MRI system

Performs routine Neuro and MR procedures, and attended the On-call duties. March/2000 – January/2002 Heart Hospital, Thrichur, Kerala, India CT & X-Ray Technician
