The objective of the project is to Migrate the process/databases hosted on Unix Server to Linux Server/new data store and to take advantage of the new Linux DB features, improved performance, RAS (Reliability,Availability,Serviceability),Scale-up capabilities. Exposed DB2 DAO Layer Updates/Inserts/Reads as JSON CICS REST Web services. JSON REST Web services are consumed from the front end Java Application. All the applications which consumed the Informix DB in Unix box were migrated to refer DB2 either using SQL/JSON Web service. Sync Jobs were built in mainframe to extract data from DB2 and compare with the previous unload and use the delta files to insert/delete/update Teradata DB which is further used for report extraction. Informix DB sync up jobs were also created and then decommissioned after 3 months of time.
