of journals and magazines. Searching for new judgments to be loaded on
the bulletin on a daily and weekly basis. Writing a bulletin summary/
abstract. Prepare the bulletin alphabetically on subjects e.g.
Administrative law, Contract etc.
. Maintain loan system - Checking in and out publications using the
Genie system, sending reminders of overdue loans, adding new users on
the system.
. Shelf maintenances - Shelf reading at least once a week to make sure
that all books area arranged accordingly to their subjects and
accession numbers. Keeping the shelf straight and tidy all the times.

with all the new and relevant publication. To keep up with the payment
of invoices so not to be behind with payment. Ensure the renewal of
all annual standing orders is processed on time. Always make sure that
I work according the budget at hand.

articles etc.) Using the databeases like JUTA, Lexis Nexis, SABINET,
Heinonline. SA epubication SAFLII, AUSTLII, INDLII etc.
. Supervising library assistant. Ensuring that the accessioning and
cataloguing of the new publication by the library assistant is correct
and that all registers maintained.
. Responsible for the stocktaking by continuing the process of giving
each publication a unique number, compare the records obtained from
the barcode reader with that of the library software, by means of an
excel spreadsheet.
. Maintain an awareness of any new publications that are relevant to the
court by staying in contact with various publishers and accessing the
latest publication catalogues.

I would like to apply for the position of a Libriarian as advertised on
www.uct.ac.za
Currently I am working for ENSafrica law firm as an Office Logistic
Specialist responsible for the Archiving Porforlio of the firm.
Sending off and receiving companies document via different couriers.
I have the ability to use Millenium, inMagic DB/Text cataloguing system
and 3E system and Metrofile archiving system
My duties include billing, closing the matter and archiving them before
they are send for storage. Am also responsible for the retrieving of the
files and office document and collection and destruction of the firm's
documents
I also work as an Information Specialits responsible and managing the
cataloguing, acquisition, binding, updating of loose - leafs and attending
to queries by doing research using databases such as Windeed, McGregor,
Lexis Nexis UK, PMG, Westlaw etc.
I also worked for Western Cape High Court was managing the library in
terms of cataloguing, acquisition supervising, and managing the 37 judge's
chambers. I have worked for Rhodes University Law Library for a period of
five years as assistant librarian responsible for searching, using
databases like Juta, Lexis Nexis, HeinOnline, SAepublications etc. Attend
to enquiries managing the short loan section.
I worked for the Office of the Chief State Law Adviser Cape Town as a
Librarian. There I was responsible for cataloguing and research, managing
the register of the office in terms work received from clients (all the
departments), work allocated to the state law advisers, finalized opinions
and agreements, certified and finalized bills.
