In 2010 I saved $440,000 in cost conversion project by improvement in assembly line conveying systems, foaming equipment eurodrive implementation, CTL machine improved cycle time by 3 secs that saves OT.

Was sent to China to setup the new assembly plant for window A/Cs in 2004 by Electrolux Major Appliances.

Awarded cash award for cost conversion in 2010 by Electrolux Major Appliances.

Awarded by Blue Star Ltd., India for value engineering the water cooler insulation material.

My department is running at 98% uptime since 2010 after the improvement.

Better utilization of labor to reduce the labor cost per unit.

Completed a new project of snow blower which Husqvarna Group is starting at Orangeburg facility in June 2019. Arranged 3P events, EP and MP run.

Relocated the hood assembly line with lean engineering concept for better flow of the assembled hoods to the mainline.

Installed new deck assembly line to support new tractor line. Wrote an IR, drew layout for conveyor, material flow presentation, tool rails, balancers and tool installation. Completed the project well within the allocated money in IR

Recommended and purchased new bag machine to replace the old machine. Trained the operators and maintenance teams. Ordered the spare parts and setup the critical parts in tool crib.

Introduced blade mandrel error proofing unit for all assembly lines to prevent customer complaints and to make sure the blade and mandrels assembled with correct torque value per requirement.

Worked on new projects from start till the MP build. Including project management assessment, Wrote PFMEA and process control chart from work instructions and DFMEA, Designed and fabricated fixtures, tooling, process control charts arranged the EP pilot runs and MP build for AQL. Worked closely R&D and marketing on new deck Coordinate with production and helped them in process improvement. Coordinator for problem solving team working on cost reduction. .

Helped to move snow thrower line from McRae, GA to Orangeburg, SC Husqvarna plant, June 2019 when McRae plant was closed down.

Started new deck assembly line for new tractor line. Started the project and finished with layout of conveyor line, material presentation, assembly stations, tooling rail installation, airlines, balancers and tooling installation per requirement.

I was responsible to relocate the hood line for better utilization of space and flow of hood assemblies to the mainline, using lean engineering concept and completed successfully,

Electrolux Major Appliances – Anderson, SC

Automated eliminator tube bending process that eliminated 9 people on the line for all three shifts.

Introduced eurodrive on the foaming tool equipment that improves the uptime in foaming department and raised it to for 98%.

Conveying line split improved the cycle time on mainline by .4% and also changed the conveyor power rollers to raise cycle time to 96% on assembly line.

Responsible to supervise 3 supervisors on three shifts, 9 technicians and total 231 people on line for three shifts.

Worked with lean engineering, 5S, six sigma, value stream mapping and process control principles by implementing EMS practices for cost reduction, process improvement, EEO, FTQ and reducing rework.

Designed a gas ejection system to prime the dredge pump, which eliminated the problem of hammer blow. Designed and fabricated the dredge's perimeter catwalk. Designed the booster pump's suction piping system. Th modification allowed the dredge pump, used as a booster. Used microsoft project for scheduling the PM of the dredges and to optimize time and labor estimates. Supervised the crew members on dredges.

Spex Industries – Edison, NJ

Developed an assembly technique for the spectrometer drive system, which reduced assembly time by 50%. Provided technical support, which ensured a smooth transition from development to production of spectrometer drive systems. ACliberated spectrometers via custom software. Prepared documentation for ISO 9000 certification.

Assembled electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies and tested them per specifications.

Design Engineer

Responsibilities included scheduling PM of shop floor machines. HVAC plant and machinery. Designed 450 liter per hour fountain and bottle coolers as well as consumer air conditioners. Value re-engineered water coolers by upgrading insulating materials, which resulted in a 20% cost reduction.
