An experienced logistics leader who is seeking a position where I can transfer my skill set to a civilian business environment. In my 20 year military career, I have progressed in rank rapidly and have significant experience and leadership in areas financial management and inventory management among others.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

June 2017- Current. Logistics Manager, US Navy, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Managed the Logistics Department with 120 enlisted joint military personnel in the daily operations of Supply Chain Management, Health Technology Management Service, and Acquisitions/Procurement to include performance evaluations and awards.

Assisted in management of an annual budget of $110M.

Increased Warehouse shelving capacity by 25% allowing additional medical supplies needed for daily operations. Increased medical supply line items by 50%.

Decreased Commercial Purchase Card purchases by 30% by enforcing standardized electronic procurement methods.

Led 40 logistics specialists during the USNS Comfort COVID 19 response in New York City as well as during hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico in the management of medical supplies to include inventory, receipt, issuance, and procurement.

Also onboard the USNS Comfort led logistics teams for Continuing Promise missions for 2018 and 2019. Included inventory and movement of medical supplies and donations for 34 medical engagement sites in 15 countries.

May 2011- May 2017. Logistics Manager, US Navy, USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS Higgins (DDG 76).

Onboard USS Anchorage, authored and established all standard operating procedures as well as implementing the purchase card program for a new ship. Was transferred within 6 months after promotion.

Was transferred to the USS Higgins due to a leadership loss. I was directly responsible for the increase of logistics readiness scores from below average (86%) to above average (94%) in less than two years in the areas of Procurement, Financial Management, Inventory Management, Hazardous Materials, and Postal Operations by optimizing and coaching logistics team.

Appointed the Government Purchase Card Approving Official and Certifying Officer. Approved and certified over $150K annually of purchases utilizing the Purchase Card Program.

Oversaw the management of a $30M inventory of over 20,000 line items as well as a $6M annual operating budget. Never missed a mission requirement due to not having parts or supplies.

Volunteered as a Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society case worker. This involved assisting personnel with a financial issue that needed immediate help.

Was the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Coordinator. Coordinated the training and qualifications for 150 personnel in one year. Raised the ESWS Pennant for excellence for the first time in 10 years.

May 2005-April 2011. Logistics Specialist/Financial Manager, US Navy, USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) and Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy.

Onboard USS Bainbridge, performed functions such as; Government Purchase Cardholder, Financial Manager, Inventory Manager, Postal Clerk, and Hazardous Materials Custodian. Scored 95% or higher in every inspection category.

Authored the standard operating procedure for financial management for the department and was the lead Contracting Officer Representative for the Air Mobility Command flights in Naples Italy.

Qualified as a Command Financial Specialist to assist personnel with establishing a personal budget as well as to determine and manage their debt to income ratio.
