Project work:

Title: “An Experimental Study on Recron 3s fiber as additive in HPC”. Team: 4 members.

Description: Fibre reinforced concrete is of high strength compared to normal concrete and also reduces the cracks due to shrinkage. In the present investigation, Recron 3s fibre is added to concrete in the proportion of 0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.5% & 1.0% by weight of cement for M40 grade of concrete. For strength parameters, each proportion of fibres, cubes, cylinders & beams were casted for 28 days. The compressive strength, flexural strength & split tensile strength are found & compared. Result: The strength of concrete increases when Recron 3s fibre is added. It is found that the strength of concrete increases gradually from 0.2% and then decreases in 1% of recron in concrete. This experimental study is economical at the same time they will prevent the shrinkage cracks developed during curing. So, use of Recron 3s fibre is useful to prevent cracks on the structure.
