Senior Chief Petty Officer (Culinary Specialist Submarines) (1998 − 2021)

Lead Instructor/Program and Policy Analyst – Navy Food Management Team – 2018 – Current

Led a team consisting of Engineers, Army Veterinarians and Culinary Specialists in providing comprehensive training that adeptly covered all facets of food service operations and provided leadership to 721 Sailors, completing 21 assessments of operations, and conducted 433 seminar hours of training resulting to a 12% improvement in inspection scores.

Advice and recommendations sought out by the submarine force commander in the areas of process improvement, maximizing budget, and audit procedures.

Selected to be apart of a team of experts across all Navy communities to rewrite and update the governing publication for all food service operations to include pre-commissioned unit procedures.

Supply Department Senior Supervisor / Leading Chief Petty Officer (4 years)

Managed day-to-day operations of the Submarine Supply Department (2 Divisions 15 sailors) including tests, inspections, qualifications, training, maintenance planning, and operational schedules. Developed and implemented a 120 day Virginia Class provisions load out, now the submarine force standard.

For a 2 month period, which included the first 120 hours of pre overseas movement availability, managed the day-to-day operations of the United States Navy Planned Maintenance System including maintenance planning and operational schedules.

Responsible for all Groton, CT, New Construction Units at Electric Boat and Portsmouth Shipyard Food Service Operations aboard 22 nuclear powered submarines advising commanders on all aspects of supply operations, to include safety concerns, equipment, sustainment of at sea operations and personnel management.

Conducted over 25 inspections and 500 technical assist visits on submarines, ensuring equipment and workers were operating in proper safe conditions. Documented visits with reports to ship’s leadership with findings and corrective actions required.

SSN 778 New Construction Habitability Manager (Leading Culinary Specialist) (2 Years)

Interfaced and coordinated a new construction of a nuclear powered Submarine between Electric Boat, Supervisor of Ship Building and Ship’s Force personnel. Duties included attending meetings, setting priorities and agendas, and meeting critical path milestones.

Led the verification and acceptance of all Galley, Wardroom and berthing spaces contributed to meeting operational schedules 8 months ahead of planned time.
