Drilling in the “HARAD GAS FIELDS” for Saudi Aramco.

In charge of TOTAL Mechanical equipment on the Rig, including vehicles.

Jan 2014- July 2014 : Nabors Drilling International

(Houston Texas) Drill Rig mechanic Assembling components for ‘Jack up Rigs”, being shipped to Saudi Arabia.

Jan2011-March 2013: Mitchell Drilling International (Mozambique) Maintenance Supervisor on all Drilling equipment. And relieving Maintenance Manager for just on 2 years.Schramm 450 and 685 RC rigs, SANDVIK DE 710 Diamond rigs, UDR 200 and 300 Diamond rigs, Atlas –Copco CS 14 diamond rigs, Kores 1000 and 2000 Diamond rigs. On this equipment, upgrades, modifications and Maintenance were done. Light vehicles; include Toyota Landcruiser and Hilux, Isuzu 4ton 4x4 service vehicle. Heavy vehicles: Mercedes-Benz Actros with 22Ton Hiab Cranes, Mack water bowser, Sterling rig carriers and Ford Louisville F8000 carrier.

Due to financial problems, all of us on 1 contract have been put on extended leave.

June 2010- Jan 2011: Ma’aden Gold Saudi Arabia: Maintenance General Foreman – total mine in charge of ALL technical departments, civils, plant, underground and power generation. Including exploration drilling. Atlas-Copco and Sandvik Rigs are used underground, Boart LF 90’s used for Exploration. I left Saudi Arabia for personal reasons, which I would only discuss privately.

March 2010-June 2010: Caterpillar Manutention Africaine Mali: Maintenance Supervisor on Cat Elphinstone LHD’s, Atlas Copco Drill rigs and BTI Utility vehicles. Overseeing breakdown repairs on shift basis.

Maintenance contract of Manutention ended in June 2010.

October 2009-March 2010: Ore X Africa (Ivory Coast) Mechanical Supervisor on Schramm RC rigs, Chinese built Diamond (YDX ) rigs and ancillary equipment. Maintenance, breakdowns, modifications and upgrades. Contract put on hold.

August 2009-October2009: Hall core Drilling South Africa (Steelpoort) Mechanic on XY 44 & XY 2000 Diamond Rigs, Project Leader(Brits) Modifying 2x Super rock Rigs from Waterbore,to full RC,and rebuilding 1 rig in limited period of time, to be shipped to Mauritania Project. Company downscaling because of finances.

June 2009-August 2009: Partners Drilling International (Zanaga Project Congo).

Mechanical Foreman on Hanjin Rigs, Light vehicles and ancillary equipment. Went to contract to get machines in working order again.

Lay off for 3 Months due to Global recession.

September2008- March 2009 Oresearschdrilling Simandou (Guinea and Liberia).

Maintenance fitter on Multi-purpose rigs, compressors and boosters.

Rigs worked on: KWL 700 RC & 880 Multipurpose. Maintenance rebuilds and upgrades of equipment. Incorporating and commissioning of Sandvik 1500 Pantera Rigs

RIO TINTO has stopped all activities temporarily at Simandou site, we left the country and started drilling in Liberia. Management laid off all personnel except the Australians.

May2007-September 2008 Major Drilling (Tanzania)

Mechanical Foreman on RC & Diamond rigs, compressors, boosters & support equipment. Maintenance, rebuilding and commissioning of rigs and ancillary equipment.

Rigs worked on: Schramm T450 & T685 Rota drill, KL/UDR.150/300, various Ingersoll-Rand CS Class Rigs, and Atlas- Copco ROC L8 rigs.

Was offered a better salary in West Africa.

March2006- May2007 Moolman Bros. (Tanzania) Contract ended.

Mechanical foreman on heavy equipment & Drill rigs.

Rebuilds, upgrades and modifications of KLEMM RC rigs, and 1100 Pantera drill and blast rigs. Sandvik Pantera 1500 Rock Pilot Rigs. Atlas Copco ROC L8 Surface drill and blast rigs.
