Cleveland Clinic is now following up with patients using video visits in MyChart. Beginning July 1, 2020, we will reinstate fees and copays for virtual visits not related to COVID-19. Cleveland Clinic will continue to waive financial responsibility for virtual visits that are COVID-19 related, as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Patients are advised to contact their insurance company prior to the scheduled virtual visit to understand potential financial responsibility.

There are several key steps you must follow to prepare for this video visit. We recommend you complete these steps at least one day prior to your appointment.

1. If using a smartphone for your visit, download the MyChart mobile app.

2. Complete preCheck-in (this can be done up to 7 days prior to your visit).

3. If you haven’t already, download Zoom to a computer or mobile device with a camera, microphone, and speakers:

Install Zoom on a Mac Computer

Install Zoom on an Apple (iOS) device

Install Zoom on an Android device

4. Ensure internet browser pop-up blockers are disabled for Zoom.

5. Check the camera, microphone, and speakers on your device to make sure they are working.
