Mentor the team: on the Heat Exchangers, Air cooled exchangers and wherever required my support to meet the Technical Bid Analysis (TBA) on time. Especially used my B286 Project Knowledge and provided guidance to Engineer on 100-H2 Fired Heater tubes replacement and Burner tips replacement. For the De-Salter Modification, travelled extra mile and had regular meetings with Bidder's at different Zone (i.e USA) to meet the Schedule of the deliverables. --> All the Deliverables of this Project met on time.

Involved in first time for Replacement of 24 burners on the existing Heaters and whole Floor plate .To avoid any issues during site, prepared the Mechanical drawing of the Floor plate with all details and had review with Construction team. Finally reviewed the same with Vendor-John Zink

Involved in first time Replacement of 42 burner tips on the existing Heaters and replacing big size new ducting with required modifications. I had Site visits frequently since the details on the As-built drawings were not legible .Also used LFM laser Scan to inform the same to Vendor .

Involved Site visits frequently helped a lot to meet the construction requirement and also involved Sub-Vendor shop visit /interaction to support on the engineering related details/information.

Before the actual work is carried out, during the engineering phases, I had involved with John Zink /Site team/EM to conduct field study of the actual site conditions and have reviews between engineering and construction.

Involved for Fuel gas drum and installed the equipment at site along with internals .I had visited site to support construction regarding the Engineering details information .

Involved with MOM Inspector since one of the Exchanger is under Steam service . Based on he new requirement first time verified all the Vendor documentation and ensure that all the inspection certificates received with proper signature /approvals of Inspector .

I have involved in the 3rd Party Inspection related to Flue Gas Drum with internals, etc at Applied Engineering Shop. Also, Sub-contractor yard for final inspection and equipment received dimensional check for Fired Heater Burner assembly, burner tips etc .Also, involved at site during installation of the burner / tips for the Fired heaters .

Work Profile:

As a Lead Engineer, FEED engineering and detailed stage for Re-rating scope of equipment’s in 2RD-246 system, 2RD-256 System and 2RD-258 systems. Also, installation of new velocity seal in place of molecular seal on north flare stack (8RB 2905.

Executed first time replacement of the North Flare (8RB 2905) Velocity seal at height of 160 m for ExxonMobil Jurong Refinery Plant

I have assisted to Sub-contractor at early stage to study the transportation /layout study by providing the necessary Weight data and dimensions of the Flare along with all necessary components based on the Existing As-built drawings .

I had close interaction with OEM Vendor-John Zink for providing the pre-bid proposal for the Velocity seal and arranged site visit to study further at their end.

I had obtained the relevant data/drawing information from John Zink to support construction, Interdisicpline design (i.e Modeling of piping components, Civil loading data ) since the available As-built drawings were not adequate for the design /execution of the Velocity seal .

I have Supported and provided the required details /information to Sub-contractor to proceed with fully dressed up lift with all piping and piggy flare. Also obtained the required documentation, design and method for erection Velocity seal along with the piping and piggy flare.

I had solved many issues by interacting with Sub-con shop visit and Construction team upto final installation of the Flare at Site to meet the Turn around schedule.

For Equipment 2RD-257 Stripper vessel Re-rating was carried based on the available provided the latest inspection Report. I have provided the Re-report with indicating that the areas of the dents on the Dished end and Shell were not adequate. Based on the Report, ExxonMobil Site team has carryout the Weld deposition to fill the dents by using the Weld deposition . While carried out the task, there is a failure on the Shell portion and was conducted API579 3 levels of assessment with a detailed stress analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) and confirmed the Vessel was adequate.

Attended for Replacement of of the following tube side components of existing exchanger 2RE-254 and also performed the FEA analysis for Special tubesheet: i) Both tube side girth flanges (Top side) including Studs, Nuts & Gaskets ii) Top cone assembly with all nozzles/flanges/blind. iii) Both tube side girth flanges (Bottom side) – 2 No’s including Studs, Nuts & Gaskets. iv) Bottom Dished assembly with all nozzles/flanges/blind. v) Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of both tube sheets FEA to be performed only for the Revised Start-up condition: No steam flow condition, Where Operating temperature on tube and shell is 212 C and ambient respectively.

Attended all the 3rd party inspection from start to end for Replacement of Reboiler Channel assembly along with applicable Girth flanges and tube bundle inspection, at Applied Engineering Shop Singapore. Supported on the Pre-dressing of the Velocity seal along with platform assembly at JML-work shop before erection of the same at Site

As a Package Engineer, FEED and detailed engineering stage for Modification of the existing KBE26 Plate and frame exchanger and replace existing Granule Blower Coolers (KLE01 and KLE02) with new ones (KLE01N and KLE02N)

Also, reviewed and aligned the hydrotest procedure with the 3rd Party and Hisaka at shop . During my Visit, the assembly sequence of all the components, the applicable quality procedures and NDT requirements were reviewed and ensured to meet the ExxonMobil GP/project requirements. Also, the final dimensional Check/measurement done as per the Specification standard

As a Package Engineer, FEED and detailed engineering stage for installation of new Spare Crude Vacuum Bottoms Exchanger with special helical baffle arrangement

Since is new vendor, we had face to face KOM at JES office and clarified the requirements of GP/GII with MRY Engineer’s

During vendor drawing review and fabrication stage, Vendor has raised many clarifications /concession request to meet the requirements of GP, GII and UOP standard /specifications. We had taken up all the clarifications /concession request with relevant ES3 /UOP Engineer and closed on time to meet the quality as wells the schedule. Had WebEx meeting /Telecom with vendor to resolve the fabrication & inspection issues and delivered the equipment’s at site on time.

Coordination with construction team, sub-contractor for finalization of Installation sequence of Clay and Salt filters at site.

As a Lead Engineer, FEED and detailed engineering stage for the scope of the project is to install the 2(two) new shell and tube heat exchangers within SOP-1 battery limit

The major achievements in this project is Cost saving (Value Plus) for re-rated equipment of exchangers without modifying the equipment. For example, due to design pressure change equipment has been failed to satisfy the particular components (i.e Shell thickness, flange thickness etc.), subsequently discussed with Process group and resolved the issue by reducing the design pressure/gasket modification.

Technical discussion with Client for optimization of piping layout modification due to increase in nozzle loads on Air cooled exchangers.

Major equipment’s ordered at chine vendors, there is big challenge to complete the Vendor document review on time and to obtain the document status as “Code D” due to poor communication & document quality. Hence had weekly vendor meeting with major vendor to resolve the fabrication & inspection issues and delivered the equipment’s at site on time

Visited to china for 2 weeks to complete the vendor documents on time for Shell and tube heat exchangers at vendor shop.

This Project involves workshare with Mumbai, India office and procurement sourcing across Asia, particularly China. Effectively managed all the parties to meet the technical and general requirements of all the packages.

There are many changes during the detailed engineering phase, however engineering has been completed successfully, by adopting the good proven engineering tools /approach and good practices

The main challenge is handling of large number of vendor documents (approx. 15000) through work share with India offices (Mumbai & Baroda) and coordination with interdiscipline & client. Hence, we have implemented good communication tools /software’s (WebEx, JPI database) and face to face meetings to complete the review on time

Major equipment’s ordered at chine vendors, there is big challenge to complete the Vendor document review on time and to obtain the document status as “Code D” due to poor communication & document quality. Hence had weekly vendor meeting with major vendor to resolve the fabrication & inspection issues and delivered the equipment’s at site on time.

As a Lead Engineer, Front End Engineering Design phase of this grassroots facility to its refinery, including a gasoline desulphurization unit, an amine treating unit, a heavy naphtha splitter and cogeneration units; involves work share Netherlands office for Co-generation units .TIC VALUE $700M of Refinery facility.

In this Project special challenge is, One of the Column (i.e. Heavy Naphtha Splitter) diameters is 5 m and during the transportation of this column there is obstruction of pipe rack height available only 4.5 m at SRC site. Hence, we have studied two options for transporting this column (single piece & two-piece options). For two piece option, developed a dividing plan for site works comprising of performing site joint / NDT, hydro test etc.
