Managed the Health and Safety Program for a multi-plant manufacturing company. With no Safety Policies in existence, I took a clean sheet approach and composed all required safety policies and procedures. Prepared all safety training presentations and delivered them to both Office and Manufacturing personnel. Set up a record retention matrix for all delivered safety programs. Reviewed the manufacturing facilities and updated all inspections for cranes, slings, fire suppression and equipment condition. A totally new safety program was established. Safety design reviews with Original Equipment Manufacturers on new and retooled equipment.

Risk assessment generation and approval.

Audited and approved equipment at OEM run-offs for compliance of Ford Motor safety specifications.

Composed and performed construction site safety orientation training for OEM personnel, Contractors, Ford Engineering team members and UAW Skilled Trades.

Followed equipment through Ford’s five step Pro-Tag safety commissioning to launch process.

Responsible for equipment safety compliance, lockout/tagout, noise, ergonomics, permitted power on tasks and robot/gantry safety.

Administered construction site Safety Program at various customer site locations. Performed site safety orientations, pretask analyst generation, reviewed and approval. Responsible for daily safety huddles, tool box talks, housekeeping audits, site safety auditing, PPE audits, recordkeeping, right to know MSDS and daily safety observations. Performed air quality and noise sampling where required. Been called upon to perform accident/incident/injury investigation and root cause analysis. Scope of work consisted of excavations, concrete floor removal/replacement, structural steel erection, demolition, and new equipment installation/commissioning. Primary customers have been General Motors, Ford Motor and Chrysler Corporation. All safety and drug testing was coordinated through M.U.S.T. safety program.

All products manufactured or purchased had to comply with OSHA regulations and corporate product liability standards.

No 300 log recorded injuries for calendar years 2007, 2008 and 2009 (290 total employees)
