Duties and Responsibilities’ As Concierge

Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms.

To have a complete operational knowledge of the hotel, including geographical layout, services provided and security.

To provide a courteous and efficient potter service to hotel guests and to ensure that the Lobby area is clean.

To appear on duty at the time specified on the departmental Rota in the company uniform, correctly attired, including name badge

To provide willing, courteous and efficient service to guests at all times

To deal with guest enquiries in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner.

Assist with hand luggage, and offer information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.

Inspect guest's room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.

Explain features of room, such as operation of radio, television, and night-lock, and how to place telephone calls.

Paging guests in lobby, dining room, or other parts of hotel.

To take messages accurately and deliver them promptly and correctly to the guest room

Providing general information and useful reference leaflets to guests.

To be aware of any suspicious or undesirable characters present in any areas of the hotel and inform the Bell Captain/Duty Manager.

To be knowledgeable about daily functions in the hotel in order to deal effectively with guest queries.

Be aware of hotel outlets and promoting them to guests when appropriate

To deliver newspapers to guest’s rooms and to provide housekeeping items for guest's rooms when requested.

Pick up articles for laundry and valet service.

Assisting and cooperating with members of the management team in any reasonable request

To be aware of any suspicious packages and report immediately to DM and Security

To participate in any training/development schemes as recommended by management

To be fully conversant of the Hotel Health and safety and fire procedures

Call taxi for guests.
