2017 – CURRENT : Long term locum at 2 GP surgeries Parkview Health Centre and Hayes medical
Centre in London.
I have remained one of the lead GPs at both surgeries and take on various roles
despite being a non contractual GP.
I am the childrens safeguarding lead at both practices.
I do clinical supervisor meetings for inhouse pharmacists and nurses at the
surgery.
I am involved in QoF and audits as well reviewing patient safety alerts and
medication reviews, as well as the general administration roles and reviewing
pathology results

EXPERIENCES : My 1 year experience as an emergency doctor at one of the UK busiest A+E
departments Queen’s Medical Centre has greatly improved my confidence in
managing paediatric patients both acutely and recognising red flags.
Roles as a general practitioner require a lot working under time restraint, juggling
multiple conditions and polypharmacy whilst managing patients holistically.
I have found my communication skills, management of chronic conditions as well
dealing with uncertainty has improved every year that I work in this field, and I
enjoy the excitement of not knowing what will come through the door.
