PROJECT SNAPSHOTS

SunBots at Sunlife Insurance January’2019 – Present

Sunbots are series of bots that are developed in Sunlife Insurance. So far I have developed five bots in total in the organization across different business units in the organization and different types of underlying applications such a Web, windows, and mainframes. Every Sunbot strictly follows the best practices and centralized architecture where the interrogated objects in the adapters can be reused in other projects. We strictly don’t use interaction.xml to avoid the complicity it will bring to the reusability of the adapter projects. We have to develop the bots in both English and French so to make it smooth we store all the variables and texts in both English and French in an XML and load the variable from the XML. To monitor the flow and errors we developed a metrics framework that will monitor the health of the bots.

Technologies used: C#, PEGA OpenSpan, XML, WCF.

Bot Monitor at SCOTIABANK May’2018 – September’2018

This is a web application that is used to track errors and the status of the software bots. This application tracks status and logs of every bot we develop by connecting the WSDL to software bots we developed. This application is developed using AGILE software methodology.

Languages and technologies used for this application: C#, WCF, PEGA OpenSpan, ADO.NET, MS SQL Server, WEB API, and Angular.

CDM Automation at SCOTIABANK May’2018 – Septemebr’2018

CDM stands for Cognos Disclosure Management. The manual process takes 4 hours and an employee to work on CDM in the evening shift. By automating this process, we are bringing 4 hours process to 1 hour. This automation involves the web and a windows application. The web application allows users to generate a user id and password to login into the CDM application. This automation extracts more than 350 files from CDM and a C# script behind process extracted file further. This C# script clears the files which are extracted from CDM and makes sure to keep the folder ready for the next process. And at the end of the automation, status emails have been sent to the desired employees. This is an extremely difficult RPA I have ever done because We mimicked keyboard actions and made them work on a server using a task scheduler.

Technologies used: C#, PEGA OpenSpan, XML, WCF.
