Experience

Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager – Flin Flon Bombers Jr A Hockey Team 2018-Present

My daily duties include setting up for practices and doing laundry, sharpening skates, repairing equipment, and setting up the dressing room on game days. I also assist the visiting teams with miscellaneous duties when they arrive. I ensure the dressing room is clean at the end of each day. I also place stick and equipment orders for the team, as well as medical supplies. I am also responsible for the assessment and rehabilitation of injured players.

In addition to working with my home team, I have also been selected twice to represent the SJHL for the SJHL/MJHL Showcase.

Equipment Manager – University of Regina Men’s Hockey Team 2016-2018

I was responsible for the handling of equipment for the hockey team. My duties range from setting up for practices and doing laundry daily, sharpening skates, making repairs to equipment, and setting up the dressing room on game days. I am also responsible for setting everything up for visiting teams to make sure they have everything they need for when they arrive for the weekend. During my time with the Cougars I also had the opportunity to job shadow the Carolina Hurricanes equipment staff for an exhibition game.

Nisku Industrial Coatings Sept 2014-Dec 2014

Laborer

I received customer paint orders which required mixing, then arranging delivery of the order within the hour.

Tracker Logistics, Leduc, AB Feb 2010-July 2014

Laborer

I picked and packed customer orders, loaded and unloaded flat deck trucks carrying parts for Caterpillar construction/oilfield machines and ensured that all trucks departed from our yard on time. I used a 15-ton forklift to load and unload 5 – 6 trucks per day and allocated parts weighing anywhere from 10, 000 – 28, 000 pounds. As the yard was outdoors, I have experience working in extreme weather (both winter and summer). I am proficient in LAWSON, which is the logistics providing software program specific to Finning. Due to my outstanding work ethic, ability to multitask, problem solve and to work independently I was my promoted to be my department’s trainer. My good communication skills and warehouse organizational abilities made me eligible for exceptional performance bonuses.

Leduc SEARS Dealer Store, Family Owned & Operated Jan 2003-Jan 2010

Customer Service & Sales

I processed customer orders, returns, credit card payments, concerns and complaints. I managed floor displays of appliances that included refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves and ovens, lawn and garden equipment, electronics, televisions and vacuums (both the assembly and removal of all). I also coordinated and personally made many of the home deliveries that these appliances required. I was responsible for the entire catalogue department, which consists of the shipping and receiving of all orders and returns (and the warehouse management of organizing customer’s orders and back up stock), processing payments, daily cash outs (usually over several thousand dollars) and day-to-day customer service. I had my own key and was responsible for opening and closing the store. If customer concerns or issues required dealing with the corporate office in Regina or Toronto I would often be involved, speaking to departments that ranged from catalogue to parts and service to billing and accounting to troubleshooting. After my family sold the store the new owners requested me to stay on for three months to help with the transition and to train the new staff.
