Greetings!

I’m a Data Scientist and Data Engineering Consultant, but have a background in hotel marketing and construction project management where I was often tasked to engineer and manage new or optimized workflows to get the most out of my company’s data and SaaS/CRM technologies. My 6+ years crafting creative and long-lasting business solutions make me an ideal candidate because I can see how data fits into the bigger picture. I’m passionate about making data functional, empathetic & honest communication, collaboration, and believe this role would be a great fit for me and the team.

In regards to the technical specifics of the position, here are a few areas where I have demonstrable requisites needed to succeed as a Data Engineer:

●Strong understanding of high-performance ETL development with Python. I’ve developed production-level APIs and asynchronous automated ETL pipelines for businesses in scientific research and independent movie marketing on AWS and IBM cloud ecosystems, integrating and appending data from formats including CSV, JSON, HTML and XML. I’ve also built multiple SQL databases using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL & SparkSQL.

●Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership. I’m currently using Spark to perform aggregations and cleansing on US patents data from the last 50 years, comprising terabytes of unstructured raw data.

●Communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data driven insights. Over the last 6 years, I’ve developed customer segments and A/B tests to improve email newsletter engagement at Kamalaya, introduced website tagging to gain deeper insights into Sales leads, built listener frequency models and new KPIs to improve ratings for Leafly’s News Podcast (‘The Roll-Up’).
