Aderonke has been actively involved in Electrical Power Engineering project management and development with particular emphasis in distribution system planning and environmental management, automatic monitoring and modeling as well as system analysis and control since 2009. She brings in 11 years of both supervisory professional and academic experience of being involved and leading power system’s quality improvement research and analysis. Aderonke is currently a lecturer in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She was a substation engineer and later power system planning engineer in the Division of Works and Maintenance Services, Obafemi Awolowo University in year 2009 and 2014 respectively where she ensured that the quality, IEEE standards and other technical regulations were not compromised. Her researches span energy planning
(for renewable standalone systems or grid tied networks), monitoring and evaluation and environmental management, with emphasis in electrical system and low carbon renewable energy distribution system efficiency improvement through automatic monitoring and system modeling. She is a member of the university’s task force on electricity committee and currently serving as the committee’s secretary. She also had served as the financial secretary of The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
(NIEEE), Ile – Ife Chapter, Osun State. She is a member of many learned professional bodies such as The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She is also a member of System Dynamics and Modeling Group at the Centre for Energy Research and Development, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She has almost 10 articles in peer reviewed journals, technical transactions and conference proceedings, and also has developed various technical reports to her credit. She has also worked at putting together multidisciplinary studies in project management, solar powered stations, landfill gas powered stations, staff development and empowerment, design and construction of electrical substations from environmental impact assessment up through siting to commissioning and maintenance.
