TURBINE FITTER DUTIES

Included but not limited to; valve auxiliaries, commissioning, centerline and boiler feed pump

-General overhauling- Assembling and disassembling of casing rotor, diaphragms, bearing seals and steam ignition valve

-Controlling modules and LP

-Checking of alignment on coupling after splitting, measuring the gap using slip gauges

-Fitting of shaft rising gear and slide out the bottom bearing

-Putting the machine on thrust and taking datum sizes

-Checking clearance of radial and axial of diaphragms and rotors

-Scrapping of bearing and casing surface and checking contact

-Balancing center keys of pedestals according to the given sizes on the check sheet

-Replacing Dovetail Pins to hold the Rotor blades when damaged

-Kocking and Bucket replacement or repairs on rotor blades

-Shaft Balancing to check the trueness of the rotor

Mechanical fitter duties

Include but not limited to:

-Overhauling pumps and gear boxes

-Maintaining oil stations and changing gasket

-Changing pulleys and V-belts

-Performing laser alignment on couplings the driver and the driven

-Valve lapping…. etc.

-Inspection on conveyor,change tail and head pulley, change rollers, Inspect spillace and change bearings.

-Planning a scope of work for the day and scope work for shutdowns
