• Managed the identification and reduction of asset risk via loss elimination, risk management, life cycle asset management and root cause analysis (RCA) to current and future Schick and Playtex products using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and current 8D standard practices.

• Modular floor design – company was using steel beams to build floors. I designed modular floor segments that could quickly and easily be installed, increasing factory output by 50%, from 12 buses daily to 18.

• Aerodynamic Bus Design – redesigned parts of the buses body and all of the buses fiberglass components with aerodynamics, weight reduction and coefficient of friction in mind. Was able to increase fuel efficiency by 25%, from 16 miles per gallon to 20 miles per gallon.

• Designed systems mechanical components; mounts, chassis, frame, cases, supports, all in SolidWorks, as well as assemble systems.

• Worked with physicists and optics team to design spectrometers for various wavelengths:

• Assembled mirrors onto mounts, of my own design.

• Worked with electrical engineers spec-ing out, designing and overseeing the manufacturing of various power boxes; power supply box, DC distribution box and calibration box.

• Designed sensor-to-plane coupling in compliance with pilots and their specifications.

• Worked collaboratively with various machine shops. Worked closely with these shops to ensure that our parts were delivered promptly and accurately.

• Oversaw and participated in engineering test flights including; setting up test area, supervising data collection test flights, reviewed collected data with scientists.

• Produced and organized B.O.M.’s, Status Updates, Part Numbering System and other bookkeeping processes.

• Met with clients to obtain the desired specifications, and then followed up by leading a team of various disciplines to deliver the requested product.

Projects:

• Fisher V1 - Military airborne HSI device used to scan areas to detect buried IEDs. Detection accuracy of 96%.

• Terra – Commercial tripod mounted HSI device used primarily for agricultural purposes: crop health, water distribution, pest assessment, etc.
